Dr. Eleazar Anthony Noel is an educator, entrepreneur, author and philanthropist who has spent his career helping people discover what they are capable of. Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, he began his journey teaching entrepreneurship to young people through YTEPP Limited, where he was named Micro Entrepreneurship Tutor of the Year.
He went on to build more than 18 years of experience in business across the Caribbean, the United Kingdom and Canada, including chairing a credit union co-operative. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University's Edinburgh Business School. Today he is an Assistant Professor of Marketing, Strategy and Entrepreneurship at University Canada West in Vancouver, where he has taught more than 3,500 students and is known for mentoring them well beyond the classroom.
As Chairman of the ELE Foundation, Dr. Noel leads its mission to give young people from poor and at-risk communities the tools, skills and support to succeed through scholarships, free training, mentorship and learning centres where they can grow. He is guiding the Foundation's work on a Caribbean initiative for at-risk youth and the development of the ELE Learning Centre in Ethiopia.
He has also pledged all proceeds from his forthcoming book, The Uncomfortable Truth, to the Foundation. For Dr. Noel, this work is personal.
Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. A single open door can change the course of a young person's life.
